Facial Implants    The bone structure of the face dictates the shape of the soft tissue.  For example, poorly defined cheekbones make the face appear aged and loose.  A weak chin makes the neck appear saggy and even makes the nose look larger.  Dr. Rodgers can augment the bony structure of the face using custom-shaped MEDPOR implants from Porex Surgical.  The procedure involves a cosmetically concealed incision and fixation of the implant to the bone either by suture or titanium implantable screws.  The effects are immediate though the swelling will need several days to completely diminish.
