About Us

The Initial Cosmetic Consultation is an important step in the process of considering plastic surgery. All of us at the The Artisan Center for Plastic Surgery are committed to helping you become well informed about the actual process of preparing for and recovering from cosmetic surgery. Please feel free to ask questions and to let us know how we can help you.

Registration
Upon initial check-in, Melissa, who also provides Spanish interpretation services, will request basic personal information for administrative purposes. She will then confirm that your medical history was completed online or she will ask that you complete a medical history. Dr. Rodgers will utilize this information to determine if you are a good candidate for elective surgery.

The Pre-Examination
Once registration is complete, you will be introduced to Tricia, the patient coordinator. She will personally escort you to the consultation room where she will elaborate on our patient-oriented philosophy. She will also provide background information on our practice and Dr. Rodgers. She takes great pride in her role and will serve as your liaison throughout your care with us.
While in the consultation room, you will be introduced to Dr. Rodgers. He will sit down with you, review your completed medical history, and discuss your goals in regard to cosmetic surgery. We strive to establish both trust and confidence prior to proceeding to the examination and encourage questions at all times.

The Examination
You will then be escorted to an examination room where, when undressing is required, you will be provided with an Artisan Center robe. Dr Rodgers and an assistant will then enter the room and perform the necessary examinations. During this time, he will formulate and convey a comprehensive surgical plan to best suit your goals. Potential complications as well as expected outcomes are thoroughly discussed. Only when YOU feel confident with everything is this portion of the consultation over.

The Review
Once you have changed back into your clothes, you will be escorted back to the consultation room where Tricia will be waiting to review all that you have learned. She will present you with a comprehensive pricing quote and review our multiple payment options. She will inform you of any promotions or available discounts and review the available surgical dates to schedule at a time most convenient for you.

The Post-Consultation
At the Artisan Center, we realize that it is not always possible to alleviate every concern during the initial consultation. We encourage you to contact us at any time to discuss your surgery.
