Tendons

Tendons attach the muscles in our forearms to the bones of our hands.  Along the way they enter into a narrow sheath that can be constricting when inflammation occurs.  The result is a locking or catching sensation commonly known as a trigger finger.  Though these usually respond to steroid injections, sometimes a surgical release is warranted.  Tendons also remain at risk to sharp or even blunt trauma which can rupture, tear, or avulse them.  Dr Rodgers repairs tendons using only the latest proven techniques which, when combined with skilled physical therapy, results in less down time for patients.
